Summer Vacation Plans

I am going to go to Miyazaki prefecture with my friends. One of my friends, Erika, has relatives in Miyazaki. They run a Japanese-style hotel in Miyazaki. So we can stay at the hotel cheaper than general guests. We are going to enjoy sightseeing. I last went to Miyazaki when I was an elementary school student. So I am looking forward to go to Miyazaki. Also I am going to go to Amakusa with my other friends. We went to Amakusa last summer vacation too. We stayed at a cabin near the beach. We enjoyed swimming and barbecue there. At night, we could see many, many shooting stars. I had never seen such a beautiful night sky. I was very moved. We viewed night sky for hours. I am looking forward to see shooting stars again.

All about my keitai

I have used docomo’s cell phone since I was in the third year in junior high school. I changed a type of cell phone three times in the meantime. Now, I use L 704i almost half a year. My cell phone’s color is white and shape is very cute. I do not like to exchange e-mail with my friends too much, because it is troublesome for me. So I often call on my friends instead. Telephone charge is too expensive to pay, because of it. So I want to have a softbank’s cell phone.

The rainy season

Today, it rained cats and dogs. I went to KGU by motor bicycle. So I was drenched to skin when I arrived at KGU. Also my clothes got wet. I was uncomfortable with my clothes. I wanted to go back home and change my clothes as soon as possible. After classes were over, I had a part-time job. There were a few customers because of the heavy rain. So I could work easily.

Massy's room: My dream
This is the post about her dream. She had a happy dream that night. She clould fly in the sky in her dream. Mr. Patrik was also flying with her.

Hikari no Mori

After classes were over, I went to Hikari no Mori with my friend. First, we went to TULLY’S COFFEE. I ate ice cream and my friend had a cup of coffee. Next, we were hanging out in Hikari no Mori. After that, we went to sushi bar to eat dinner. We enjoyed eating and talking. Then, he showed me a lot of pictures when he was a high school student. There were many pictures for example the school sports, graduation ceremony, school festival and so on. I felt homesick for my high school days.

I will introduce my favorite movie. One of my favorite movies is Romeo and Juliet. It was romance movie. Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Daines were in it. At the last, they committed suicide by themselves. It was a tragic love and a touching story. When I watched the movie for the first time, I was moved very much. Foreign countries

I have never been to foreign countries, but I want to go foreign countries. My friend went to Canada as a home stay program when we were junior high school students. She stayed in Canada for two weeks. She enjoyed the home stay. I heard her talks about her experiences in Canada when she came back to Kumamoto. So I thought that I want to go foreign countries someday. I want to go Australia, because I want to see koala. My cousin went to Australia before, and he showed me a lot of pictures of koala. They were very cute! So, I want to go Australia.

BR 1-07: April in Moscow

I read “April in Moscow”. Stephen Rabley wrote it. I chose this book because of the book cover. The illustrations of this book are very cute. So I thought that I wanted to read it. I am going to introduce this story roughly.

The main character of this story is April Fox who is a dancer. She works for the British Dance Company. Her boss is Maria Grant. One day, she says “Can I have a word with you all, please?” also she says “The Russians want us to dance there next month.” Six weeks later, April says goodbye to her parents at an airport in London. In Moscow, the dancers work very hard. Their dance for the festival is new and difficult. The day after, in a street near the museum there is a small market. Two boys work there, and they can speak English. They are Nikolai and Sasha. Sasha speaks English very well. Nikolai only speaks a little. Next morning, they all drive to a lake near Moscow. Everyone is laughing and talking. There is a boat beside the lake. April and Nikolai go out in it. “It is very beautiful here.” She says. Nikolai says “Beautiful. And you are… beautiful…too. I think I…” Just then, “Come on. It’s time to go!” Laura shouts. Back in Moscow there is a lot to do. Then, the British Dance Company’s big night arrives. The festival succeeds. Twenty-four hours later, all the British dancers are at Moscow airport. Then someone says April’s name. She turns. It is Nikolai! He gives her a parcel and walks away. On the plane, she opens the parcel. There is a letter from Nikolai.

I like these romance stories very much. I want April and Nikolai to become happy. I was moved when I finished reading this story.

My personal language learning history.

I am going to introduce my personal language learning history. My mother tongue is Japanese, but I have learned English since I was a junior high school student. Also, I have learned German since I entered KGU. I am in the Department of Britain and America at KGU. I learn English to communicate with other people, and to employment.

My mother tongue is Japanese. I started to utter words before I became one year old. I was taught a lot of words from my parents, grand parents, relatives and so on. Also, my mother read picture books for me every night. So, I could learn words. By the way, I have learned English since I was a junior high school student. I like English very much since then. So, I learned English harder than the other subjects. I went to cram school. The cram school’s teacher went to University in America. I often heard about her experiences in America. In the cram school, I learned listening, grammar, writing, and reading. When I was in the first year of university, I learned German. It was very difficult for me. So, I was not good at German.

I think that listening, writing, reading and speaking are all important to progress with my English, but it is the most important thing for me to memorize English words. The way to learn English words is by repetition. I usually use power words to memorize English words. If I knew the meaning of words, I can understand rough content of a passage. So, I think learning English words is the most important thing to progress with my English.

I am in the Department of Britain and America at KGU. I learn English to employment. I want to be a grand staff. So, I have to learn English. When I was in the second year of high school, I got an examination of English’s second grade. Also, I took a TOEIC course during summer vacation last year, and I took a TOEIC test. I want to get high score of TOEIC test, so I have to study English much harder than now. Also, I learn English to communicate with other people. If I could speak English, I can talk with a lot of people include foreign people.

I want to progress with my English. So, I have to learn English much harder. I am going to learn English with the aim of getting TOEIC score over 700 this year. Also, it is important to learn Japanese. I want to become a person who can speak good Japanese. So, I have to learn both English and Japanese. I am going to continue learning both Japanese and English.

Father's day

Today is father’s day. I bought a shirt for my father. When I gave him the shirt, he looked glad about it. In the afternoon, I had a part-time job. There were a lot of customers because of father’s day. Cakes and gifts for father’s day were almost sold out. However, a happening happened! Showcase for cakes was broken. The showcase did not get cold. So, I called maker, and they repaired the showcase. Today’s sales were two times larger than usual eventually. I was very tired. However, I have a good thing today. I took my birthday the other day. So, I received a lot of cakes from the company that I work in. I was happy, because I like sweets very much.

Today is my birthday. I became 20 years old. I got a lot of e-mail from my friends. These e-mail pleased me. After classes were over, I went to downtown, and I met my friends. My friends marked my birthday by having a party. We went to restaurant, and we ate French food for example, escargot, steak, marinade, salad and so on. These were very delicious. Also, we ate a birthday cake with a flavor of powdered green tea. Then, my friends sang happy birthday and they gave me some presents. I received key ring, studded animal of Rirakkuma, and photo album. The photo album is their own work. In the album, there are a lot of pictures and print club stickers when we were high school students. Also, there are message of them. I was very glad of these presents. I am going to treasure the presents most of all. After that, I met my other friend. We went for drive, and we stopped the car near my house. We talked long time. Also, he gave me a present. Today was a very very happy day for me. I have never been happier. I love my friends very much!!!

Shopping

Today, I had no part-time job. I was very happy. After classes were over, I did my assignment of Reading class with my friends. I read English-language paper, and I wrote a report. After that, I went back with my friends. At night, I went shopping with my mother to buy a present for the father's day. I bought a shirt for my father, and I bought a pierced earring for me. By the way, the day after tomorrow is my 20 years birthday. I am going to go to eat dinner with my friends the day after tomorrow, so my mother bought some pieces of cakes for me. I ate chocolate cake and rare cheesecake. These are very delicious. I like sweets very much! So, I felt happy today.

I take various classes. Cultural anthropology is the most interesting class for me. In the class, we learn about religions and so on. I was not interested in religions until recently. My favorite ingredients for sushi are salmon, salmon roe and sea urchin. I ate those, and I was satisfied. I want to go to the sushi bar again. However, the sushi bar will close a business this month!

MR 1-02: Armageddon

I am going to introduce one of my favorite movies. The movie is Armageddon. It is the most impressive movie that I have ever watched. I have watched the movie again and again until now. I am going to write the movie’s story roughly.

A space shuttle cut off the news in the space. Also meteors hit East seaside without any warning. This natural disaster was a sign of thing that happens from now on... At the same time, Dan who is NASA’s general commandant heard news. He was surprised to hear the news. The news was that a plant was approaching the earth. The planet is as big as Texas!!! It means the fall of the mankind. Dan gathered ideas to collision between the earth and the planet. He adopted an idea. The idea is that implant nuclear bomb into the planet. Then, Harry’s name went up. Harry is professional of mining.

A messenger of the Secretary of Defense arrived at an oil mining facility. Harry and Grace had to go to the Johnson space center. Dan told them the idea, and Harry decided to do the project. He set down a condition. It is that to company with his partners. The members are Chick, Rockhound, Dorilarmax, Bear, Oscar, Nunam and A.J.

They received training of astronaut. At last, the space shuttles were launched. They could land on the planet barely, but the operations of mining did not run according to plan. Then the machine to mining broke, and there were hardly rest time. They were pushed for time, so they were impatient about it. Lastly, Harry saved the earth from fall. Also he protected A.J., because A.J. is his daughter’s boyfriend. Harry and some of his partner dead. The others could return to the earth.

This is the story of Armageddon. People probably almost watched the movie. Armageddon is a famous movie not only in Japan, but also in many countries. This movie was nominated for Academy Award in four sections. Also this movie received a prize of Grammy award.

I watched this movie many times, but I am not tired of this movie. One of my favorite scenes is the last scene. When I watched this movie, I always cry at the scene. Driving

Today is a holiday, because of the anniversary of the foundation of KGU. I had a part-time job, and it finished at 9:00 p.m. After that, I want for a drive to the airport with my friend. However, planes did not fly. I was a little disappointed. We just talked in his car, and we went home. I want to go for a drive to see night view next time.

Goemon

Today, My friends and I went drinking. I finished my part-time job at 9:00 p.m. After that, one of my friends picked up me at near the cake shop that I work in. We went to Goemon by his car. Goemon is a bar, and there were already five people. My friends and I joined the party. Finally, there were ten people in the party. Some of them are KGU students, but the others are members of society. They are all our elders. At first, I was worried about my friends can enjoy or not, because we hardly have common subject. They spoke to us about a lot of things, so we could enjoy the party. After that, we went to karaoke center. They sung songs that we do not know, so we felt the so-called generation gap. However, we could enjoy that time. We went back home at 3:00 a.m. I was a little tired, but I had a nice time. I am worry about whether I can get up next morning or not.

Drive

Today, I had to do my homework in the morning. I wrote an essay about my university life. I learned how to write essays in the Writing class last week. So I tried to write an essay as a matter of form that I learned. It was hard for me to write the essay, but I could finish writing my essay. In the evening, I had a part-time job from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Today was Sunday, but there were not so many customers. We had nothing to do at first. So we had only to do chores. I think that the hours go quickly when I am busy. I felt the hours went very very slowly today. I was tired. After my part-time job finished, I went for a drive with my friend. I have to drive my car, because he does not have driver’s license. However, I like to sit in the passenger seat better than the driver’s seat. I do not accustom to driving yet. So I got a little nervous. However, I was happy to meet him.

My university life

I am going to introduce my university life. I am enjoying my university life very much. Each and every class that I take is very interesting for me. After class is over, I have a part-time job. When I have a free time after school, I often hang out with my friends. So my university life has been full.

The classes that I take are very interesting. I was interested in English and different cultures during my high school days. I had a forte for English and I studied English harder. So I decided to enter the Department of Britain and America at KGU. In the classes, I can learn English and different cultures more deeply than when I was a high school student. I sometime feel hard because I have to do some assignments. However, I feel pleasure when I found new findings. So I like the classes.

I have a part-time job at a cake shop. The shop’s name is Takarabune. Sometime, my friends say that its name looks like a bar’s name. I think so too. I work almost three times a week. After class is over, I go to the shop as soon as possible. When I just began the part-time job, I have to memorize a lot of things for example, the prices of cakes, the names of cakes, how to use register and so on. It was very hard for me. So I wanted to leave the part-time job before. However, I am accustomed to the job and the shop’s members are getting along very nicely with each other. We sometimes go drinking together. We are the different ages, but we can talk with various things. I like my coworkers very much.

When I have no part-time job, I often hang out with my friends. I like to go shopping, karaoke center and drinking. I can reduce stress to go shopping. Especially, I like to buy clothes. So I sometime spend too much money for clothes. I can also reduce stress to go karaoke center. My karaoke specialties are Ayumi Hamasaki’s songs. Also, I like to go drinking, because I like alcoholic drink. I go drinking with my same high school friends and my coworkers. We enjoy talking many things, because we cannot meet so often. I like to hang out with my friends for a change of air.

I enjoy my university life. I have a lot of things to do. If I had too much free time, I would feel boredom. So it is convenience for me to have many things to do. I feel a sense of fulfillment every day. Until I graduate from KGU, I want to study more harder than now to realize my dream.

Drinking

Today, I went to drinking with my coworkers. They are all my seniors. When I just began a part-time job, I was often cautioned about the job. So I was afraid of them then. However, we are very good coworkers and friends now. We cannot talk too much each other during the part-time job. So we talked a lot of things today. We went to Sakagura after our part-time job finished. We enjoyed eating and drinking. We talked about the part-time job, love, human relation and so on. We are all different ages, but we can talk about anything each other. I hardly get a chance to talk with elders in my daily life. So it was good chance for me to talk with elders. I had a nice time. I want to go drinking with them more often.

My favorite food is sweets. For example, chocolate, cake, custard pudding and so on. When I am irritated, I do want to eat some sweets. I can reduce stress to eat sweets. When I eat sweets, I am very happy.

Sometimes, I am irritated by quarrel with my mother and my brother. Then, I do want to eat sweets. I can calm me down to eat sweets. Eating sweets relaxes me.

I work at a cake shop. When there are a lot of cakes left over, I can take out the cakes free. Sometime, I can take out a fancy cake. I always finish working at cake shop at 9:00 p.m. After that, I eat dinner and sweets. A magazine said that people who eat sweets at night are liable to get fat. So I have to be careful about getting fat.

I read "The Clumsy Crocodile". Felicity Everett wrote it. I am going to introduce about this story.

The main character of this story is Cassy. Cassy is the clumsy crocodile. She gets a new job at Ever glades Department. First, she was sent to work in the China Department. She makes a mistake there, and she was sent to work in the Toy Department. She brakes many toys, and she was sent to work in the Food Hall. She makes a mistake again. I read “Sam’s New Flat”. Jenny Alexander wrote it. I chose this book, because I was interested in this book when I looked the book cover of this book. I am going to explain about the story roughly.

The main character of this story is Sam. Her mother divorced her husband, so Sam and her mother have to make the move to new house. She is unhappy, because she did not want her parents to divorce. It is not easy for her to understand her parent’s decision. When she went to the park, she met Donut incidentally. He asked her that “Is something wrong?” However, she said, “You wouldn’t understand.” Just then, Mrs. Green came into the park. She has last her dog. Sam and Donut looked for the dog instead of Mrs. Green. They went every place, but they could not find the dog. When they gave up and went back, they found the dog. Mrs. Green was very grateful. When they gave up and went back home, Sam told Donut that her parents got divorced. Donut’s father, Colin, is not Donut’s real father. He understood Sam’s feelings. She relieved from her worry, because she could confide in Donut.

I think that it is important for me to confide in someone, because to worry by myself is hard.

I went to my friend's house. He lives in Rikigo. Rikigo is near the Aqua dome. So his house is a little far from my house. I went to his house by bus. I spent almost 1000 yen for travel expenses. In his house, we watched a DVD that was recorded ELLEGARDEN's live consert. I have not watched their live consert DVD. So I warched it for the first time. They were very cool. After that, we went to town to eat dinner. We went to Kakureya. We enjoy eating and drinking. Every foods were very delicious. Especially, I liked cheese fondue. We talked a lot of things. For example, school life, club activities, part-time job, love, friends, and so on. He is a very talkative person and he is a smooth talker. We had a nice time. I am looking forward to seeing him next time.

I have not watched "Shrek" before. So I did not know the story of this movie. I did not like animation too much before. But I was very interested in this movie.





The main character of this story is Shrek. Shrek is a green monster. People who live in the country are frightened of Shrek because he has a stern face. He is not in communication with people. He ia a lonely parson. One day, he meet Donkey. He is very talkative and trys to make friends with Shrek. They make a trip to save Fiona. Fiona is a beautiful princess. She is locked in a castle. A dragon guards the castle from people who try to rescue Fiona. Shrek and Donkey fight with dragon. Also they rescue Fiona.The king of the country is going to get married her. But She has a secret. In the night, she changes green monster. The king notices the secret and he cancels marriage. Then, Shrek makes a proposal to Fiona. They celebrate a marriage on a large scale.





I was profoundly impressed. Shrek has no friend before he meets Donkey. At first, Shrek dislikes Donkey. But they become best friends through the trip. Shrek has a complex about his appearance. So he does not judge a person by his or her. Shrek and Fiona have ugly face but they find a true love. I learned many things from this story. I want to watch "Shrek2" and "Shrek3".

I read "More Macdonald's". Jeremy Strong wrote it. The reason why I chose this book is that I went out to this title. I am going to explain about this story roughly.

This is a story about the Macdonald's family. There are five people in their family. Father, mother, Mouse, Jojo and Pip. Mouse and Jojo are twins. When they ate their breakfast, father suggested building extra rooms on the side of this house. Mouse and Jojo want to have new bedroom each other. They can not decide who has a new bedroom. That night, they were asleep. But they were woken by strange noises. That noises heard from a cage. There is a hamster, Jambo, which twins have had as a pet. She was having babies. When Mouse saw a Jambo's good point that she embraced her babies tenderly, he changed his mind. He handed over the new bedroom to Jojo.

I thought that Mouse is very kind person. I want to become a kind person like him.

I read “The Lost Key”. It was written by Roderick Hunt and Alex Brychta. I chose this book because this book’s illustrations are very cute. I like them very much. So I wanted to read this book.

A main character of this book is Kipper. He is a boy who he has blond hair. He has a key. It is a magic key. But it had not glowed for a long time. Kipper possibly wanted a magic adventure. So he tried to glow it. He put it in his pocket. But he lost it when he went shopping with his mother. A little time later, he realized that he lost the key. Next day, he went and looked for the key with his friends. He asked many people if they had seen the key. At last, he found it. He wanted the key to glow. But it did not glow for a long time. But it suddenly began to glow when he fell asleep.

This story was interesting. I thought that Kipper has many good friends. They help Kipper to look for the key. If he looked for the key by himself, he may not find the key. I learned that it is important to have good friends from this story.

I had a part-time job from three o'clock to nine o'clock. I work at cake shop that name is Takarabune. I have worked since last June.
