BR 1-08: Billy and the Queen

I read "Billy and the Queen" Stephen Rabley wrote it. I chose this book because I was attracted to the title. I am going to introduce this story roughly.

A main character of this story is Billy. He is a fourteen years old boy. He has a older sister. Her name is Roxanne, but everybody calls her Rox. One day, they visited their grandmother's house in Brighton. Their grandmother is Gran. Then his bicycle was broken. It was very, very old. So he wanted to buy new one. However, new bicycle are too expensive to buy. He asked his grandmother “Do you know how I can make a lot of money?” then her opened a magazine that called Palace, and she said “There’s a competition here and the first prize is £500.” The matter of the competition was that candidates send the publishing company a photo of them and the Queen together. Billy and Rox tried to take a photo, but they could not take a photo of the Queen easily. Then Rox got a good idea. They want to Madame Tussaud’s, and they took a photo with a wax doll of the Queen. Two weeks later, Billy and Rox got new bicycles, because they got first prize of the competition.

This story is very funny. The interesting point is that they took a photo with wax doll. I enjoy reading this book. If you have a free time, please read this book.
