Saisyunkan

I did not have part-time job today, so I went to ‘Saisyunkan’ with my boyfriend to see illuminations. Saisyunkan is in Mashiki. It is near the airport line 1. I went to Saisyunkan for the first time, because I did not go there last year. I like illuminations very much. So I was looking forward to going there. Today was weekday, so it was not so crowded. There were a lot of beautiful illuminations for example big whale, swans, tunnel and so on. I was moved them very much. We took a lot of pictures. We enjoyed it very much. After that, we went to a restaurant to eat dinner. We had a nice time today.

BR 2-04: Harry's Great Big Burp

I read ‘Harry’s Great Big Burp’. Polly Jack wrote it. I chose this book, because the illustration of the front cover of this book is very cute. I was interested in this book when I saw the illustration. It was about a boy who ate some prunes. It was a funny story. So I am going to introduce this story roughly.

The main character of this story was Harry who lived with his mother. He had strong many likes and dislikes about food. He did not like fruits and vegetables, but his mother gave him fruits and vegetables. She thought that fruits and vegetables were very good for him. So he ate all of these fruits and vegetables. One day, his mother gave him some prunes. He did not like prunes, but he ate all of the prunes. After that, he got on the school bus to go to the school. Suddenly, his stomach made a funny noise. He had loose bowels. Then his mouth made a big burp. He was very embarrassed. When he was in the school library, his stomach made a funny noise again. Also his mouth made a big burp again. The books of the library fell down on the floor. He was surprised at the happening. After he got to his house, he thought that he would never eat prunes again.

I enjoyed reading this book, because it was a very interesting story. Harry did not like fruits and vegetables. I do not like vegetables either. So I can understand his feeling easily, but I like fruits. I have never eaten prunes. I want to try to eat them.

BR 2-03: Rotten Apples

I read ‘Rotten Apples’. Roderick Hunt wrote it. I chose this book, because I was interested in the title ‘Rotten Apples’. It was about a horse that eats too many rotten apples. Now, I am going to introduce this story roughly.

The main character of this story is Biff who is a kind girl. One day, she helped her mother’s job. Her job was to pick up the apples that feel down from the trees. She picked up a lot of apples, but some of the apples were rotten. So she put them in the box. When she was carrying the box, Kipper called to her. He said, “Come and see this!” There is Harry Smith who liked by everyone. He sold things with his horse. Biff gave an apple to the horse. The horse liked it. Then, the horse ate all of the rotten apples. After that, Biff and the other children rode the horse with Harry Smith. Suddenly, the horse began to run too fast. “Slow down!” shouted Harry Smith, but the horse did not listen his warning. The children were afraid of the happening. After a while, the horse stopped in a car park with he made funny noise. The horse went to sleep. Harry Smith thought that maybe the horse was drunk. Actually, the rotten apples made the horse drunk! However, Harry Smith did not mind. When the horse was sleeping, he sold everything from his cart. He was happy because of the happening. So he gave the children a present.

This is a very interesting story. I did not know that rotten apples made animals drunk. Is it truth? I do not know. I want to read interesting stories like this.

Maedori

I will come of age next year. We wear kimono and attend the coming of age ceremony in Coming of Age day. I took some photographs for the Coming of Age day. It is said ‘Maedori’ in Japanese. I got up early this morning. I went to a photo studio with my mother. First, I had my hair set and makeup at the dressing room for the photography. Next, I had dressing. This was a first time for me to wear kimono. It was very hard for me to wear kimono. My stomach was constricted by obi. After finishing photography, we went to my grandmother’s house to show my kimono. Also we paid our respect at a grave. After that, I took off my kimono at last. I could relax. I am looking forward to the coming of age ceremony, because I can meet a lot of my friends. The alumni meeting of junior high school is going to held when the Coming of Age day. I want to enjoy it.

Fukuoka②

I did shopping with my friend in Fukuoka today. I like shopping, so I was looking forward to today. We got up early this morning and we went to ‘Tenjin CORE’ and ‘Soraria Plaza’. Both of us are indecisive people, so we wavered what to buy. There are a lot of shops in Tenjin. So we were enjoy shopping very much. I bought black coat, gray short pants, necklace, black pumps and salmon pink long T-shirt. I was satisfied with them. My friend bought a lot of clothes too. She bought coat, parka, long T-shirt, and so on.After we finished shopping, we went to Kego Park. We could see illuminations. These were very, very beautiful. I like illuminations very much. We can see the illuminations until Christmas. If you have chance to go to Fukuoka, please see them. We had a very nice time today.

Fukuoka①

Today, I went to Fukuoka to go to the EXILE's live concert with my friend. We met at Musashizuka bus stop at 1 p.m. We waited for a bus to go to Fukuoka, but there are too many people. We could not ride in a bus easily, so we waited for about an hour. We went to Fukuoka airport first, then we changed from a bus to a subway. We arrieved at YAHOO DOME at 4:30 p.m. I went to YAHOO DOME for the first time. It was very big and there are a lot of people. I was looking forward to the live concert, because I like EXILE very much. This is the first time for me to go to the EXILE's live concert. I can usually watched them only on TV, but I could I enjoyed the live concert and I was so happy. I really want to go to the live concert next year too. After that, we wemt to a hotel but the hotel was very far from the YAHOO DOME. We took a lot of time to go to the hotel. We were very tired when we arrived at the hotel. So we went to bed as soon as possible. We had a very nice time today. We are going to go shopping tomorrow. I am looking forward to do shopping tomorrow.

I read ‘Lost Love’. Jan Carew wrote it. I chose this book, because I was interested in the book’s title ‘Lost Love’. There are five stories in this book. These stories titles are Lost Love, The Doll, The Other Man, The Charm and Journey’s End. These are all different stories, but something strange happens in each stories. I am going to introduce the story of ‘Lost Love’ roughly.

I thought that this is a love story when I saw the story’s title Lost Love. However, this is not a normal love story. The main character of this story is a woman. One day, she was lost in the country with her car. Unfortunately, her car stopped because of a lack of petrol. Then, a girl came. She thought the girl was very pretty. So she spoke to her. She explained about her circumstance. The girl invited her to the country. So she went to the country with the girl. She thought something strange when she arrived at the country. She went to the girl’s house. There were the girl’s father, mother. They were very kind people. So she liked them very much. She had a nice time that day. In that night, the girl said “We have to say goodbye tonight. You have to go now.” She did not want to go, because she liked the girl very much and she could not understand why she had to go now. However she decided to go now. After that, she knew the fact. The girl that she met was a ghost, but she liked the girl very much. So she wanted to meet the girl again. After ten years past, she went to the country again.

I enjoyed reading this book. The stories were all interesting and strange. I want to read romance novel next.

My friend's birthday

My friends and I held a birthday party for chisato who is one of my friends today. Her birthday is November 6, but we were busy the day. So we held birthday party today. We went to BOOTH. Do you know the bar? It is a very good bar, because it is a bar with a good atmosphere. We ate Caesar salad, broiled chicken, pasta, fried chicken and so on. They were all delicious. We enjoyed eating and drinking. Also we enjoyed talking. I let them know how I have been getting along on. We talked about jobs a lot, because one of my friends gets a job with Apparel Company next year. I am very care about jobs, because some of my friends doing job-hunting recently. Let’s get back to the subject. We gave birthday present for chisato. We gave her a bag, balance ball and album. She was pleased with it. So I was happy too. We had a nice time today. I like them very much!

MR 2-01: Mrs. Doubtfire

I watched “Mrs.Doubtfire”. This is a comedy movie, but I think it is not only comedy movie but also humanism movie. There are some themes in this movie for example love, family, human nature, bond, children and so on. I think love and family are more important than the other themes. So I am going to write about these themes.

I thought that this story is very interesting and humor when I watched it for the first time. Daniel Hillard who is a main character of this story has a sense of humor. I laughed when I watched his behavior. He was disguised in woman’s clothes. At first sight, his behavior seems crazy. However this story also taught me importance of family and love. Daniel divorced his wife and he had a light to meet his children only once a week. He loves his children so he tried to meet them more often. Also his children love him. Although they are family but they cannot live together. However, he is bound to his children by ties of family. There is a feeling of hospitality in this movie.

I think love is one of the themes of this story. Daniel did not find a steady job. On the other hand, his wife is a career woman. They live a life without talking but they have affection each other. They may considerate of each other even if they got divorced.

I think “Family” is another one of the most important themes of this story. Daniel’s wife divorced him. They have two daughters and a son, but they cannot live together in the future. There are a lot of shapes of family for example a fatherless family, a motherless family, a family that does not have a blood relative and so on. They may have some problems, but they are tightly bound together by family ties. Daniel always loves his children and always thinking them. He did not get along with his wife, but he loves his wife. The massage that I got from this movie about this theme is importance of family. I live with my father, mother, and a younger brother. I thought it is a common shape of family before, but now, I think that I am happy because we can live together. In the movie, Mrs.Doubtfire works in Hillard’s house as a housekeeper. When Mrs. Doubtfire was in the house, his children and his ex-wife looked so happy. Also he was happy too.

This movie made a deep impression on me. When I finished watching this movie, I think it is a heart-warming story. I felt various feelings such as interest, heartrending sorrow and so on. I like Daniel’s sense of humor very much. He often set me laughing with his humor. Also he taught me many important things. I found that ties of family bind family even if they cannot live together. I enjoyed watching this movie very much. After finished watching this movie, I think that I have to take care of my family.

Fireworks

I went to fireworks display with my boyfriend. It took place in Yatsushiro. We went there by train, because there was an enormous traffic the way to Yatsushiro last year. However, the train was very crowded too. We arrived at Yatsushiro station around 6 p.m. We walked to ground from the station. We arrived there before the fireworks display start. There were a lot of people already. The fireworks display was very, very wonderful. I was moved it. We left the ground early, because we wanted to go back Kumamoto city smoothly. We could arrive at Kumamoto 10 p.m. Then we went to Joyful to eat dinner, because we didn’t eat dinner yet. We had a nice time today. I want to go fireworks display next year too.

BR 2-01: The Shoemaker and the Elves

I read “The Shoemaker and the Elves”. Sue Arengo retold it and Adam Stower illustrated. I chose this book because illustrations are very cute.

This is a story about an old shoemaker. He runs a shoe shop. It is old too and it is not thriving. He cannot make shoes anymore because he has no money. One night, he put some leather on the table and he goes to bed. In the next morning, there is a pair of shoes on the table. The shoes are very beautiful. He is very surprised when he looked it. The shoes are sold at once and he gets money. He makes enough money to buy leather like this. Another night, he hides and he sees two little elves. They make shoes every night. He can make money thanks to them so he makes two little clothes for them. They pleased with it but they leaves the shop. However, he can continue to make shoes ever after.

This is a warm story. The old man, main character of this story, is pleasant. I respect his conduct.

This is a site that is made by everyone. We can write articles, edit the articles and exhibit photos and images to make the travel guidebook that covers all over the world. ★Trip to Amakusa②★

We got up at 8:00 a.m. We were all sleepy. We ate breakfast at the garden. We could see the beach from the garden. The view is very beautiful. After that, we cleaned our room and left for Kumamoto city. Return road was not crowded so we could come back to Kumamoto early. After I came home, I slept for a long time. This trip was very, very interesting. I like my friends very much. We are going to go Tokyo next spring vacation. I am looking forward to the trip.

★Trip to Amakusa①★

I went to Amakusa with my friends Erika, Misa, Haruko and Chisato. Haruko picked up me at near my house. We rode on Haruko’s car to Amakusa. Erika has lived in Tokyo since she graduated from high school so I saw her after a long separation. We enjoyed talking about we have been getting along in the car. We got caught in a traffic jam because of the Bon Festival season. Our car crawled through the jammed traffic. We stopped at a restaurant on our way to Amakusa. We ate Chinese food and took a rest. After an hour, we started from the restaurant to Amakusa. We arrived at Nishimoku beach at 4:00 p.m. We changed to swimwear quickly and went to the beach. There was hardly anyone left at the beach. We enjoyed swimming in the beach. After a while, I was in a small accident. A jerry fish stung my left thigh. I ached my thigh so I came out of the beach. After that, log house’s owner took us out for fishing. We rode on his cruiser and he taught us how to fish. We could fish some small fish. Also we could see sunset from the cruiser. The scene was very, very beautiful. I was moved it. After we enjoyed fishing, we returned to log house and we had a barbecue in the yard. We ate many meats and seafoods. Everyone had eaten sufficiently. After that, we had a surprise party for Misa because her twentieth birthday was near. We bought birthday cake and present secretly. When we gave her the birthday cake and present, she was pleased with theirs. We bought pierced earrings as her birthday present. Also we made an album. In the album, there were a lot of pictures when we were high school students and letters we wrote. After we ate birthday cake, we shot off fireworks on the beach. I like sparkling firework very much because it is beautiful. After that, we returned to log house. In the log house, we enjoyed talking until midnight. Also we enjoyed taking pictures. I slept without notice. This trip was continued on tomorrow…

I read “Kim’s choice” Bright Viney Wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the title. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main character is Kim. Kim is twelve years old girl and this is her first year at her school. One day, four girls - Laura, Sarah, Deborah and Kim- run a hundred meters. Kim finishes first. Mrs. Evans says to Kim “You run very well. Can you run for the school later this summer?” Kim says, “Oh, yes, please!” On Saturday morning Kim and her father go to Allen’s Athletics Club and they met coach. Kim and the other children run again and again in the track. Her father takes her to the athletics club every week. He thinks that she is very well. After six weeks later the coach says, “There’s a competition at Barton Athletics Club on Saturday. Can you go? Ask your mother and father.” Then Kim talks to her mother and father about the competition. There is her friend Hannah. They cannot hang out often. On Saturday Kim’s father drives her to the competition. There are a lot of children from Barton Athletics Club. Kim has races three times. She roses twice, but she can win final race. She is very happy. At home Kim talks about the competition. She thinks that Nicola who is tall girl is very good. Then her father says to her “You can be very good too!” In July Kim runs for her school in an important competition, but she cannot win. Her father and she are not happy. However her father says to Kim “You’re a good runner. Train, and you can win every competition. You can be famous.” She becomes sixteen years old and she has important exams in the summer. So she only train on one evening but her father wants her to train two or three evenings. However she wants to hang out with friends and a boy friend. One day her boy friend Curtis suddenly asks her, “Can you come to the school disco with me?” “Yes!” Kim answers. At home her father is angry and she goes to school disco. She does not go home again. It is the Kim’s choice.

I enjoyed reading this story. However, I could not under stand her choice. I do not want Kim to regret.

BR 1-12: ANITA'S BIG DAY

I read “ANITA’S BIG DAY” Elizabeth Laird wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the illustration of the book cover. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main characters of this story are Anita and Dan. One day, Anita received a letter from Mr. Stein. The letter said “Dear Miss Rosselli, Come to the movie studio at 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning. Mr. Stein can see you then.” She was very happy when she read the letter, because she thought that she could be a movie star. By the way, Dan bought a new car that day. He wanted to take her out. So he called her. He said “Come out with me in my new car.” Anita said “OK.” Then Dan drove to Anita’s house. Anita said “Let’s go. Mr. Stein wants to see me at 10 o’clock. ” So Dan drove very fast. He was looking at Anita and he was not looking at the road. So he did not see the STOP sign at the end of the highway. Dan said “Where’s the road? Where are we?” The car came down and down. They were on the road again. Suddenly Anita heard something behind her. It was an airplane’s noise. They were in the airplane’s road! She wanted to get out, but Dan did not stop the car. Anita had to go the movie studio at 10 o’clock. So Dan drove the car very fast again. However long lines of cars were on the airport road. Dan could not go fast again now. Then he got a good idea He drove under the trees and across the grass. His car went through a bridge. The bridge was for people on foot. Mr. Stein was watching Dan from the line of cars. Dan drove the car very, very fast again. Anita said “We’re almost at the studio. On Dan, you’re a fantastic driver!” They arrived at the movie studio but a guard man did not open the front gate of the movie studio because Anita did not have the letter from Mr. Stein. The letter was in her house! Then Dan drove the car and the car jumped over the gate. They could arrive at 10 o’clock. They met Mr. Stein. He said to Dan “You drive off the highway, under an airplane, across a footbridge, through the gate… Who are you?” Also he said “I want a driver in my new movie.” Finally, Anita and Dan both got a new job. They became the movie star!


I think that it is impossible for people to drive Dan’s way. It is a funny story. If you have a free time, please read this story!

I read “WHO WANTS TO BE A STAR?” Margaret Iggulden and Julia Allen wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the title. I am going to introduce the story roughly.


The main character of this story is Tina Daniels. She is a thirteen years old girl and she is a TV star. She is a very popular in Hollywood. Everyone calls her ‘Curls’ because she has a beautiful curly hair. Everyone loves her, but she is not happy and she does not want to be a TV star. However, her mother, Mrs. Daniels, wants Tina to be a star. One day, Tina has a good idea. Her friend, Mary, has a grandmother who lives in the country. She is Mrs. White. Tina decided to go to Mrs. White’s house, because she wants a quiet life. She goes to the country by herself. Mrs. White does not know that Tina is a TV star. She said “Tina, you can stay with me for a week, but first you must telephone your mother.” However Tina does not telephone her mother. Tina enjoys life in the country but one day, a postman has a letter for Mrs. White. He knows Tina and he said Mrs. White that Tina is a very famous TV star. Tina does not go back her house. Then Mrs. White gets a good idea. She comes with Tina to see her mother. Mrs. White explains her idea to Tina’s mother. The idea is that Tina goes to her friend’s school. She has new friends in the new school.


I enjoyed reading the story. I do not know about TV star’s life but it looks very hard. Tina is a young girl. So I want her to enjoy her own life.

BR 1-10: The Blue Cat Club

I read “The Blue Cat Club” Bernard Smith wrote it. I chose this book because I was attracted to the illustration of the book cover. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main characters of this story are James and Chantal. They lived in town near Cannes, in France. One day, they planned for the evening. They were going to go to the Blue Cat Club. It is a cabaret. They went there and sat at a table at the front. There were music and people were dancing. Suddenly the music stopped and the cabaret started. There were magic, but James dislike Merlin, the Man of Magic. Then Marlin wanted a volunteer, and James was chosen. He got into a box on the stage. There were five holes in the front of the box. Then Merlin closed the door, and he took a sword and pushed it into a hole in the door of the box. Merlin continued to push other swords. When he pushed a last sword into a hole, James screamed in pain “Aaaaaagh!” Merlin took the swords quickly and opened the front door of the box. James was not moving in the box, and his eyes closed. His shirt was very red, so Merlin panicked at the situation. Then James opened his eyes and smiled at Merlin. He begun to laugh and said “It’s only tomato juice. It’s only my little game, Mr Magic.” Merlin’s face was very red and he went away quickly. Then the music started again and people danced.


This story kept me in suspense. It was very interesting. I think that James is unyielding person.

I read “The Big Bag Mistake” John Escott wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in this title. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main characters of this story are Gisela and Ricardo. Gisela was going home to Rio de Janeiro after her vacation in London. She put her clothes and a manuscript into a travel bag. The manuscript is important for her because she was writing her first book. Ricardo was a student and he lived in Rio de Janeiro too. In the airplane, he found a pretty girl. She was sitting in the next seat of his. It was Gisela. He tried to talk with Gisela, but she did not want to talk with him. So she read book, but Ricardo talked with her. She was annoyed. Many hours later, the airplane arrived at Rio de Janeiro airport. Gisela took a blue travel bag in the building and she left the airport quickly. Then she rode in a bus. In the bus, she slept. A man on the bus took her blue bag and ran. She ran after the man, but she could not see the thief. She was angry and unhappy. Then she walked home to her apartment building. Ricardo was waiting for her at the door of her apartment building. He said “I have your bag and you have-” Gisela said “Oh! I’m sorry. A thief has your bag! ” Also she said “Thank you.”

When I read at the beginning of this story, I did not like Ricardo because I thought he is impudent. However he is a very kind person. So I like him now.
