For example, I think about my part time job, friends, school, futures and so on. My room is very comfortable for me to spend a free time so I like my room very much.

My favorite fall activity is Halloween. I work for a cake shop. In the Halloween season, we decorate our shop with a lot of ornaments for example, pumpkins, ghosts, bats and so on. This is a site that is made by everyone. We can write articles, edit the articles and exhibit photos and images to make the travel guidebook that covers all over the world. I went to downtown with my friend after classes were over. First, we went to PARCO. We enjoyed shopping. Then I found a pretty hat. The hat attracted me when I saw it first. However it is a little expensive for me, so I worried whether to buy or not. I bought it in the end. We rendezvous with other friends at NEWS. We were in the same class when we were in the third year in high school. I have not seen them about a year. We went drinking. We talked about a lot of things for example school, friends, love, work and so on. We had a nice time. I like my high school friends very much. I think that I want to go back my high school days.

She often watches movies. However she can’t watch movies recently, because she doesn’t have free time. Her favorite movie star is Julia Roberts because she is very beautiful. She likes to see movies with someone because she likes to talk about movies with her friends. She likes foreign movies because they are large scales. Also she likes TV. She watches TV almost everyday. She likes “ROOKIES”. It was a drama about high school students. She was moved when she saw it. She watched TV about three hours last night because she had a lot of free time last night.

Halloween

It is very hot today, isn’t it? However I think the mornings and evenings get cold recently. I hesitate about what clothes to wear every morning. By the way, I had a part time job today. Halloween season will come soon. So I decorated my shop with many Halloween goods for example ornaments of pumpkin, stickers of pretty ghost and so on. The Halloween department became very, very colorful and cute. I was satisfied with it. Today’s part time job is very happy for me. I enjoyed doing decoration. I am looking forward to decorate for Christmas season too.

It rained cats and dogs today. Today is my boyfriend’s birthday so I met him at night. I went to his house by car, but it was very hard for me to drive in the bad condition. We went to Hikari no Mori to eat dinner. After that, we went back to his house and I gave him a birthday present and a decorated cake that I made. He looked happy so I was happy too. We ate the cake together. We had a nice time.

Second semester

Second semester just started. I got up early this morning after a long separation so I was very sleepy. However I could meet my friends at KGU. I enjoyed talking with them about this summer vacation. I am going to study harder than first semester. By the way, I have a favorite tea recently. Its trade name is koucyacaden kuchidoke caramel. This milk tea is very sweet and delicious. I would love for you to drink it.

★Trip to Amakusa②★

We got up at 8:00 a.m. We were all sleepy. We ate breakfast at the garden. We could see the beach from the garden. The view is very beautiful. After that, we cleaned our room and left for Kumamoto city. Return road was not crowded so we could come back to Kumamoto early. After I came home, I slept for a long time. This trip was very, very interesting. I like my friends very much. We are going to go Tokyo next spring vacation. I am looking forward to the trip.

★Trip to Amakusa①★

I went to Amakusa with my friends Erika, Misa, Haruko and Chisato. Haruko picked up me at near my house. We rode on Haruko’s car to Amakusa. Erika has lived in Tokyo since she graduated from high school so I saw her after a long separation. We enjoyed talking about we have been getting along in the car. We got caught in a traffic jam because of the Bon Festival season. Our car crawled through the jammed traffic. We stopped at a restaurant on our way to Amakusa. We ate Chinese food and took a rest. After an hour, we started from the restaurant to Amakusa. We arrived at Nishimoku beach at 4:00 p.m. We changed to swimwear quickly and went to the beach. There was hardly anyone left at the beach. We enjoyed swimming in the beach. After a while, I was in a small accident. A jerry fish stung my left thigh. I ached my thigh so I came out of the beach. After that, log house’s owner took us out for fishing. We rode on his cruiser and he taught us how to fish. We could fish some small fish. Also we could see sunset from the cruiser. The scene was very, very beautiful. I was moved it. After we enjoyed fishing, we returned to log house and we had a barbecue in the yard. We ate many meats and seafoods. Everyone had eaten sufficiently. After that, we had a surprise party for Misa because her twentieth birthday was near. We bought birthday cake and present secretly. When we gave her the birthday cake and present, she was pleased with theirs. We bought pierced earrings as her birthday present. Also we made an album. In the album, there were a lot of pictures when we were high school students and letters we wrote. After we ate birthday cake, we shot off fireworks on the beach. I like sparkling firework very much because it is beautiful. After that, we returned to log house. In the log house, we enjoyed talking until midnight. Also we enjoyed taking pictures. I slept without notice. This trip was continued on tomorrow…

BR 1-13: Kim's choice

I read “Kim’s choice” Bright Viney Wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the title. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main character is Kim. Kim is twelve years old girl and this is her first year at her school. One day, four girls - Laura, Sarah, Deborah and Kim- run a hundred meters. Kim finishes first. Mrs. Evans says to Kim “You run very well. Can you run for the school later this summer?” Kim says, “Oh, yes, please!” On Saturday morning Kim and her father go to Allen’s Athletics Club and they met coach. Kim and the other children run again and again in the track. Her father takes her to the athletics club every week. He thinks that she is very well. After six weeks later the coach says, “There’s a competition at Barton Athletics Club on Saturday. Can you go? Ask your mother and father.” Then Kim talks to her mother and father about the competition. There is her friend Hannah. They cannot hang out often. On Saturday Kim’s father drives her to the competition. There are a lot of children from Barton Athletics Club. Kim has races three times. She roses twice, but she can win final race. She is very happy. At home Kim talks about the competition. She thinks that Nicola who is tall girl is very good. Then her father says to her “You can be very good too!” In July Kim runs for her school in an important competition, but she cannot win. Her father and she are not happy. However her father says to Kim “You’re a good runner. Train, and you can win every competition. You can be famous.” She becomes sixteen years old and she has important exams in the summer. So she only train on one evening but her father wants her to train two or three evenings. However she wants to hang out with friends and a boy friend. One day her boy friend Curtis suddenly asks her, “Can you come to the school disco with me?” “Yes!” Kim answers. At home her father is angry and she goes to school disco. She does not go home again. It is the Kim’s choice.

I enjoyed reading this story. However, I could not under stand her choice. I do not want Kim to regret.

BR 1-12: ANITA'S BIG DAY

I read “ANITA’S BIG DAY” Elizabeth Laird wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the illustration of the book cover. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main characters of this story are Anita and Dan. One day, Anita received a letter from Mr. Stein. The letter said “Dear Miss Rosselli, Come to the movie studio at 10 o’clock on Tuesday morning. Mr. Stein can see you then.” She was very happy when she read the letter, because she thought that she could be a movie star. By the way, Dan bought a new car that day. He wanted to take her out. So he called her. He said “Come out with me in my new car.” Anita said “OK.” Then Dan drove to Anita’s house. Anita said “Let’s go. Mr. Stein wants to see me at 10 o’clock. ” So Dan drove very fast. He was looking at Anita and he was not looking at the road. So he did not see the STOP sign at the end of the highway. Dan said “Where’s the road? Where are we?” The car came down and down. They were on the road again. Suddenly Anita heard something behind her. It was an airplane’s noise. They were in the airplane’s road! She wanted to get out, but Dan did not stop the car. Anita had to go the movie studio at 10 o’clock. So Dan drove the car very fast again. However long lines of cars were on the airport road. Dan could not go fast again now. Then he got a good idea He drove under the trees and across the grass. His car went through a bridge. The bridge was for people on foot. Mr. Stein was watching Dan from the line of cars. Dan drove the car very, very fast again. Anita said “We’re almost at the studio. On Dan, you’re a fantastic driver!” They arrived at the movie studio but a guard man did not open the front gate of the movie studio because Anita did not have the letter from Mr. Stein. The letter was in her house! Then Dan drove the car and the car jumped over the gate. They could arrive at 10 o’clock. They met Mr. Stein. He said to Dan “You drive off the highway, under an airplane, across a footbridge, through the gate… Who are you?” Also he said “I want a driver in my new movie.” Finally, Anita and Dan both got a new job. They became the movie star!


I think that it is impossible for people to drive Dan’s way. It is a funny story. If you have a free time, please read this story!

Speaking

I take a test of speaking class tomorrow. So I have to study for the test. There are a lot of topics that I have learned for example, Music, Part-time jobs, Clothes and Shopping, Travel and Transportation and so on. I am going to practice write about these topics.


Music
My partner likes music all genre, but especially, he likes rock, jazz, metal music. His favorite singer is Sugashikao, because he writes good lyrics and his voice is very good. My partner does not play a musical instrument now. However he played the piano when he was in elementary school. He likes to sing. He goes to karaoke center sometimes. However he is not good at singing. He sings Japanese singer’s song when he goes to karaoke center. Also he likes foreign singers. He bought a Bz’s CD for the first time. He likes Bz’s old songs. He has many CDs. He went to Sold out’s live concert before. He listens music every day. He said that he couldn’t live without music.


Part-time jobs
My partner does not have a part-time job now, because she has no time to do a part-time job. She studies for secretarial examination, so she is busy now. She worked for a restaurant before. The restaurant is at downtown. She got 50000 yen a month. She liked it, because she likes service. She wants to work now, because she has no money. What she likes most about not working is that she can make free time. She wants to work at karaoke center next, because the job looks easy. Also, there is a karaoke center near her house. She was satisfied with her hourly wage when she worked for restaurant, because the hourly wage was high. She wore black skirt, white shirt and put on black shoes as a uniform.


Travel and transportation
My partner likes traveling, because she likes to see other places and other people. The farthest place she has ever been is Hokkaido. She went Hokkaido when she was a high school student for school trip. She went there in winter, so she could see snow. The best place she has ever been is Amakusa. She went there when she was a junior high school student because of a celebration of her grand mother’s eighty- eighth birthday. She has never been abroad, but she wants to go abroad someday. She goes traveling once a couple of year, because she has few times to go traveling. She went traveling last time when she was in the third year in high school. She went to Hokkaido as school trip. She went to Kyoto and Nara when she was a junior high school student for school trip. She went sightseeing in temples. She likes traveling alone, because she can act on her own initiative.


Clothes and shopping
My partner went to Mac yesterday. She bought Mac flurry because she was hungry and wanted to eat it. She bought the clothes that she was wearing at Crea. They cost almost 10000 yen. She got the shoes that she was wearing at You Me town. They cost almost 3000 yen. She usually buys clothes at Crea and You Me town, because there are many shops. She usually buys food at Lowson because it is near KGU. She likes shopping because she wants to buy clothes. She likes to go shopping with her friends, because she cannot make up her mind. Her favorite color of clothes are black and blown because these color relaxing her.

I read “WHO WANTS TO BE A STAR?” Margaret Iggulden and Julia Allen wrote it. I chose this book because I was interested in the title. I am going to introduce the story roughly.


The main character of this story is Tina Daniels. She is a thirteen years old girl and she is a TV star. She is a very popular in Hollywood. Everyone calls her ‘Curls’ because she has a beautiful curly hair. Everyone loves her, but she is not happy and she does not want to be a TV star. However, her mother, Mrs. Daniels, wants Tina to be a star. One day, Tina has a good idea. Her friend, Mary, has a grandmother who lives in the country. She is Mrs. White. Tina decided to go to Mrs. White’s house, because she wants a quiet life. She goes to the country by herself. Mrs. White does not know that Tina is a TV star. She said “Tina, you can stay with me for a week, but first you must telephone your mother.” However Tina does not telephone her mother. Tina enjoys life in the country but one day, a postman has a letter for Mrs. White. He knows Tina and he said Mrs. White that Tina is a very famous TV star. Tina does not go back her house. Then Mrs. White gets a good idea. She comes with Tina to see her mother. Mrs. White explains her idea to Tina’s mother. The idea is that Tina goes to her friend’s school. She has new friends in the new school.


I enjoyed reading the story. I do not know about TV star’s life but it looks very hard. Tina is a young girl. So I want her to enjoy her own life.

BR 1-10: The Blue Cat Club

I read “The Blue Cat Club” Bernard Smith wrote it. I chose this book because I was attracted to the illustration of the book cover. I am going to introduce this story roughly.


The main characters of this story are James and Chantal. They lived in town near Cannes, in France. One day, they planned for the evening. They were going to go to the Blue Cat Club. It is a cabaret. They went there and sat at a table at the front. There were music and people were dancing. Suddenly the music stopped and the cabaret started. There were magic, but James dislike Merlin, the Man of Magic. Then Marlin wanted a volunteer, and James was chosen. He got into a box on the stage. There were five holes in the front of the box. Then Merlin closed the door, and he took a sword and pushed it into a hole in the door of the box. Merlin continued to push other swords. When he pushed a last sword into a hole, James screamed in pain “Aaaaaagh!” Merlin took the swords quickly and opened the front door of the box. James was not moving in the box, and his eyes closed. His shirt was very red, so Merlin panicked at the situation. Then James opened his eyes and smiled at Merlin. He begun to laugh and said “It’s only tomato juice. It’s only my little game, Mr Magic.” Merlin’s face was very red and he went away quickly. Then the music started again and people danced.


This story kept me in suspense. It was very interesting. I think that James is unyielding person.
